No two days are the same in my world. From hosting speakers in my Master's Level Digital and Social Media Marketing Classes, to teaching online, or helping my business students learn to design and create giant catapults I'm always on my toes. As a consultant, I speak on various marketing and innovation topics on television, webinars, and conferences. As the Executive Director of the Foresight Education and Research Network, I help manage our online networks FERN and Global Foresight in order to promote foresight around the world. Last but not least, my research on millennials brings it all together - a great blend of education, innovation, and foresight.

I created the Masters of Marketing Digital and Social Media Marketing Specialization at the University of Alabama. We host classes, on campus projects, lectures, and recruiting events for digital and social media projects during the academic year. Students complete at least 5 professional level certificates and participate in 1-2 digital specific projects for clients during this 9 mo. program.
Currently, I teach Introduction to Marketing, Innovation and New Product Development, Social Media, Social Media Strategy and Creative Industries. I teach online and offline and enjoy working with students to learn how new technology will continue to impact the future of higher education.
I created the Marshmallow Catapult Project for my Innovation and New Product Development students. All business majors, students work together to make blueprints and prototypes of working catapults that fling marshmallows. They get bigger every year. I enjoy creating innovation coursework and projects that students can be excited about.
Foresight is a discipline that can help us better understand and prepare for what the future may bring for individuals, organizations, and countries as a whole. The Foresight Education and Research Network works to promote the practice of foresight worldwide and promotes foresight related books, content, and events.
I enjoy giving interviews on digital and social media marketing on TV and in webinars. I've spoken with Alabama Inc as seen here as well as Venture Beat and hope to give more interviews on various digital marketing topics.
I speak and attend a variety of conferences every year in innovation, foresight, entrepreneurship and small businesses. I specialize in training company employees in personal branding and using technology to find a return on investment for their specific goals.
Recently, I am working on a new research project AL.com's Millennials of Alabama survey where I created a survey for distribution to thousands of Alabama millennials. I will be documenting the results soon and I look forward to sharing my peers in my state's thoughts and interests.
I am very interested in education technology, innovation and creativity and how all these blend together. I work to review books and innovation tools for publishers and companies to help better formulate great teaching and learning tools.
